Award winners announced for The 14th International Student Film Festival Peterkit

The 14th International Student Film Festival Peterkit  of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television  has finished on 22nd of October, 2014.

  Student Film Festival of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television (hereinafter - SPUFT) "Peterkit" (hereinafter - the Festival) is held to bring together cinematic students of whole our country and in particular of St. Petersburg, for searching for  new ways in cinema.

   The program of the Festival "Peterkit" included  competitive program of short fiction films, documentaries and animated films made ​​by students as part of the learning process;  debut student works competition "Fountain"; screenplays competition;  non-competition screenings of student works by The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and The Higher Courses for directors and screenwriters (VKSR);  non-competition screenings of student works by foreign film schools;  work-shops of leading Russian and foreign filmmakers;  conferences  on the development of student cinema in Russia and St. Petersburg.

   It was screened about 90 short films within 5 days. They are fiction films, documentaries, TV films and animations made by young cinematographers. During the festival  four juries worked: main jury(professional), screenplay jury, student jury and student film specialists` jury.

   This year the Festival has international competition, where students of 4 film schools participated: Karelia University of Applied Sciences (Joensuu, Finland), University of Bedfordshire (Luton, Great Britain), Aalto University School of Art and design (Helsinki, Finland), EICAR, The International Film and Television School of Paris (Paris, France).

Award for the Best Cinematography

"The conversation", director of photography  Pavel  Skvortsov, Dmitry Dolinin and Igor Naumov `s class

 

 

 

 

 

Best Sound Director Award

"Return home", sound director Anastasiya Vladimirova, Vladimir Persov and Marina Scheinman`s class.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Best Foreign Film
