“Green” films were watched in the University

4 March 2016

March 1, The International Festival of "green" documentary film «EcoCup-2016" screened  the film "The Pursuit of zero: zero waste" in the University of Film and Television, followed by a discussion with film director

American director Christopher Beaver made a film that raises one of the most urgent problems of our time: environmental pollution and waste disposal. Every day piles of garbage buried in the ground, where they lay for decades and poison our planet. The screening  was held on the initiative of the university student environmental project "EkoKiT" (https://vk.com/ecogikit).

Christopher Beaver filmed his film about a year.

- The film hadn`t a script. I appeared in some place and just started shooting, and people have shown that they did with trash.

The experts, explain how "trash" can become a "resource" with proper use and recycling. Christopher Beaver shows us "behind the scenes" of a new industry. While viewing the "pursuit of zero" we learn all the stages of collection, sorting and recycling. To say that this film inspires - to say nothing. The best proof of this is that the "zero waste" concept began to discuss all over the world.

- It's no secret that our planet is quite dirty, and we must struggle against it.
