The tourism industry brings together different professional spheres of human activity: tourism, hotel and restaurant business, catering, recreation and entertainment, organization of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, sports, museum, exhibition, excursion activity.

Modern tourism is not only a branch - it is an organization of creative meetings and development of event-actions, and the creation of specialized video. Therefore our students will have the possibility of acquiring additional qualifications in the fields of media distribution of tourism product, film tourism and travel-journalism.

Base department - Department of Tourism of the Russian Union of Travel Industry  was created in order to strengthen the practice-oriented training of students.

Our graduates will be competitive international specialists who can work in manager positions in tourism enterprises, such as hotels, event-agencies, travel agencies and restaurant businesses, not only in Russia but also abroad.

The training program Tourism necessarily include the studying of two foreign languages ​​(the required one- English and the second student's choice: German, French, Spanish, Italian). During training, students develop the skills of spoken foreign language, as well as in-depth study of professional vocabulary, communication skills, including intercultural communication. A number of disciplines are taught in a foreign language. Students receive certificates: IELTS General, TOEFL, IELTS Academic, Cambridge certificates: PET, FCE, CAE and others.

Professional disciplines are taught by practitioners: acting managers of the largest enterprises in the hospitality, tourism experts, congress and exhibition activities specialists. This approach allows studying the hospitality industry and to develop understanding of this area of ​​activity is not only theoretically but also in practical terms.



During training, students have the opportunity to participate in international internships, exchange programs in the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, United Kingdom, Germany, China, the Netherlands, Finland. After the internship, students receive international certificates, which is an advantage for employment after graduation.

Students participate in scientific work. The system of training and retraining of personnel of the Crimean hotels is developed with the participation of our students using modern and innovative technologies in the field of hotel services quality control. Students also participate in the development of recommendations to improve the skills of employees in children's tourism in the Russian Federation.

During the program, students practice in a line staff, in prospect of further employment, as well to management positions in the largest hotel companies in St. Petersburg, such as the hotel Four Seasons Lion Palace, the Grand Hotel Europe, Hotel Astoria, Hotel Radisson Royal Nevsky Prospekt and the Radisson Sonya, Sokos Hotels network in St. Petersburg, Hotel Cronwell Inn Stremyannaya. The Institute contacts with the largest St. Petersburg restaurant companies: Ginza Project, RestoBaza, as well as with travel agencies: Natalie tour, 1001 tour, The Council on tourism and excursion activities, Biblio-Globus and other event-agencies.
