Bachelor’s Degree

The Dramaturgy area of study provides students with knowledge to create and publish their works and screenplays.

Screenplay - the basis of the film. Ability to write a story that the director wants to turn into a movie, is depending on the talent of playwright. But any talent requires the development of skills and opportunities as a student to find his own style. How professionals think, good script is the foundation of success of any film.

Every group of students-screenwriters is  by supervisor - famous playwrights and scriptwriters. Among them, the winner of the State Prize of the USSR screenwriter Yuri Klepikov ("Mother married", "Dauria", "Climbing", "Summer trip to the sea", "Guys"), screenwriter Igor Ageev ("Genius", "On behalf of the Baron", " National Security Agent, "" Feast of Neptune "," Counselor "), and other well-known masters.

During the training, students learn all genres and formats of cinema and the qualification work is a feature film script. Students-screenwriters practically works with future directors, cameramen, sound producers - to create training, course and degree projects.

Students learn all genres and forms of Cinematography, and they make a full-length film as a diploma project. Students of Film Directing perform a lot of screenplays written by students during their study, and the best screenplay are published yearly in the University Collection of Screenplays.

Graduates could perform creative, research and teaching activity in the following areas like Literature, Theatre, Cinematography, Television and other Arts, and they could be involved into managing and editorial work in Mass Media.

Graduates could take part in cinematographic and literary processes acting as authors of screenplays, or literary versions for TV and Radio programs. They could work as Editors at film studios, at producer centres, editorial offices of magazines and newspapers, TV studios and channels.
