7 September 2015

Honorary Doctor and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of SPUFT Sebastian Moritz took the time to talk with first-year students of the Faculty of Film and Television Technology.

Getting acquainted with the students, Moritz asked where they came from, and for what reasons have chosen our University. It turned out that there are students from Murmansk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Naryan-Mar, Irkutsk, Surgut, Krasnodar, Sochi and other cities and towns of Russia. Moritz was pleasantly surprised by this wide geographical coverage.

The next question of Sebastian Moritz was much serious:

    - What can students to contribute to the development of television and film industry within the academic years and after graduation?

First-year students responded that they plan to establish cooperation with senior students, filming the videos and commercials, as well as in editing and sound production.

A lot of guys have noted the importance of meetings with leading experts of the television business and practices at major TV channels in St. Petersburg and Moscow to adopt a much-needed skills and experience. Similar requests came from radio engineering students.

Sebastian Moritz advised first-year students speak boldly their desires and ideas to the leadership of the University, not only orally, but also in written form.

Moritz touched also upon an exciting issue of participating in the filming of the World Cup:

 - The upcoming championship no less ambitious than the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, but has its own specifics. These issues will be resolved in the very near future. At the upcoming meetings with the SPUFT students they will also rise.
