Hainan-St.Petersburg International Film School

July ,16 - 21, 2016, the Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television professor Alexander Evmenov and the Head of the International Relations Office Konstantin  Glasman visited Hainan Province in China.

The aim of the visit was to establish cooperation with Hainan Pedagogical University in the field of film education. A protocol of intentions on trilateral cooperation was signed after three days of intense negotiations. Parties are Hainan Pedagogical University, Film and Television Company "Fenje Global Media" (Beijing) and the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television (SPSUFT).

On the Russian side the Protocol was signed by the Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television prof. Alexander Evmenov. On the Chinese side the protocol  was signed by Hainan Pedagogical University Rector prof. Lin Qiang, the President of the company Film and Television Company "Fenje Global Media" (Beijing),  Mr. Pan Zhenyi.

The purpose of cooperation between the parties is to create a multi-cluster, including educational, research and production units, in order to form a joint specialized international cultural and cinematic production platform, to promote the development of China and the Russian film industry. Educational block of the cluster is proposed to create by opening the Hainan - St. Petersburg International Film School, which allows to carry out training highly skilled professionals in the field of cinematography.

The project to create a multifunctional cluster has the support of the Ministry of Education and the Government of China. For the erection of buildings of educational, research and production blocks of cluster and the construction of a specialized international cultural and cinematic production platform an area of ​​over 200 hectares in a picturesque area of ​​Hainan Island near the town of Lingayen was allocated. The SPSUFT delegation visited the city of Lingao. The Chairman of Lingao  city administration Li Jiang Xua told about the plans to build an international cultural and cinematic production site. SPSUFT Rector prof. Alexander Evmenov participated in the discussion of construction plans, which took place in the administration of Lingao city.

The expenses for creating multi-cluster and the formation of cultural and cinematographic production platform are entrusted to the Chinese side (the company "Fenje Global Media" (Beijing)). The organization of the educational process by the main specialties in accordance with the protocol of intentions in Hainan - St. Petersburg International Film School is entrusted to SPSPUFT. Payments of all expenses for the organization and conduct of the educational process, including the technical equipment of educational laboratories, salaries of the teaching staff, expenses for business trips of professors and teachers to PRC are entrusted  to the Chinese side.

The implementation of trilateral cooperation will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of relations between Russia and China in the field of culture and education.
