Students Were Awarded for the Best Literary Works about Water

On March 28, the journalism department hosted the final of the literary contest within the framework of the III All-Russian Open Festival «Aquatica». Students from China, Vietnam, Mongolia, representatives of the international youth organization AIESEC, students of the University of all faculties had an opportunity to tell about the meaning of water in the life of each of us

21 contestants reached the final of the competition. The genre diversity of speeches were Impressed: from elegy, a story in the style of fantasy and comments to archival records before the trip, journalistic investigation and press release. Participants and guests of the event were asked to vote for the best performance.

- The most interesting, - the participant of competition, the student of 1 course of the Television Department Anastasia Novak has noted, - these are the discoveries that you do for yourself. In a short period of time - only 1 study hour - we made a friendly journey through Russia and the World, we had an opportunity to see the beauty and greatness of nature. We saw everything: oceans, waterfalls, the pearl of our country - Lake Baikal, the underwater world with its inhabitants.

- I was overwhelmed by the trembling with which the participants of the competition told about St. Petersburg, Neva, about their cities and countries, about the problems with the use of water today, the inhabitants of the Earth, - Elena Lelis, the head of the Journalism Department commented the results of the contest,. – It was quite a challenge to identify the leaders for the jury. We were amazed by the flight of fantasy of our students, and by the ability to see beauty. As a result of voting, taking into account the opinion of our guests, it was decided to award diplomas not only to I, II and III degrees, but also diplomas in 18 nominations.
