On April 27, the Department of Journalism of our University  held the International Student Ecological Forum "Actual Problems of Ecology in Russia and the World", dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia. The boundless force of art, the sounding word helped the forum participants express their attitude to environmental problems.

The event was opened with a video address of our colleagues from the Roman University Sapienza (Italy), Belarusian State University (Belarus), the Higher School of Applied Arts (Germany). Its purpose was to attract the attention of the younger generation to modern environmental problems.

In the Creative Workshop of the famous person, an exciting master class with a young but already well-known environmental journalist Irina Vlasova took place, she shared with students the key techniques of revealing the topic, she told about the solution of the problem in Russian cinema.

The literary drawing room began with the "Weeping of the Trees" - an etude, talentedly staged by our students, the future actors of the theater and cinema. The children demonstrated a modern view of the man's thoughtless attitude to nature and with the help of a reprise created on the basis of the classical works of Anton Chekhov. Tenderness and ecstasy was caused by Paul Bach's "Ecological magic", thanks to which a rabbit appeared from the flame.

More than 50 works of different genres were presented at the forum. The students got acquainted with video reports about famous ecologists of St. Petersburg, animation films, cartoon characters, reports, a story about clean cars with batteries, eco-products.

At the closing ceremony, the winners and participants of the eco-forum received diplomas. The chairman of the organizing committee, the dean of the faculty of multimedia technologies and photography Petr Ivantsov in his closing speech stressed the importance of harmonious and careful attitude to the world around us, to the culture, language and nature.
