Our student became the "Person of the Year" according to IABM

At the international business conference in London, IABM announced the winners of its prestigious annual award. The winners included Alexei Bukhalov, a student of the first year of the Master's program "Instrument-Making"

The St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television has been fruitfully cooperating with the IABM for several years. The International Association of Broadcast Equipment Manufacturers IABM is an authoritative organization that unites TV and radio broadcasting equipment manufacturers around the world. Annually in the university there is a competition where the best students receive grants and the opportunity to visit the conference and exhibition of the International Congress of Broadcaster IBC in Amsterdam.

This year, 5 students of our University visited the IBC exhibition dedicated to the technology and technologies of electronic media: Anastasia Kuvaeva, Alena Udovenko, Alexey Bukhalov, Darya Merzlyakova and Galina Syrodoyeva.

After the trip, all the young specialists prepared articles in English and videos where they shared their impressions of the IBC exhibition, presentations and shows, discussions, training seminars and press conferences.

In 2017, among all the young specialists, the special jury of the IABM Award noted the work of the our student and awarded Alexei Bukhalov the title of "Person of the Year IABM-2017 ".

Prestigious awards IABM recognizes outstanding achievements in three key areas of the broadcasting and media technology industry: attracting young talent to the industry, technological innovation and creative cooperation between producers, suppliers and consumers of technology.

A special jury of the IABM Award believes that the topic of the thesis of Alexey Bukhalov devoted to the applications of eye tracking in the media industry is very relevant for such technologies as virtual and augmented reality.

We congratulate Alexei on winning the prestigious international competition and hope that the experience of visiting IBC will provide him with a vital understanding of the media industry both scientifically and from a practical point of view, and will also benefit his research and further career.
