Mikhail Fateev, Professor of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television received a silver medal of Pope Francis

Mikhail Fateev, Associate Professor, Department of Television, St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, received the silver medal of Pope Francis. The cover letter noted his "high competence"

The medal was issued in honor of the sixth year of the pontificate of Pope Francis and is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. It quotes from the radio address of Pope Pius XII on August 24, 1939: "Nothing is lost in peace. Everything can be lost in the war." In May of the last year, the Head of the Catholic Church awarded the same medal to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Mikhail Fateev, author of a number of documentaries and reports on the history and today’s days of the Catholic communities of St. Petersburg and a number of regions of the former Soviet Union, in particular Crimea, Georgia, Lviv, Donbass. As an auditor, he participated in the Synod of Bishops in the Vatican in 2012 and was a member of the Holy See delegation at the XXIII General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization in September this year.
