The St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television became the winner of the nacional award "Nika"

The St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television in the year of 100th anniversary  won the national cinema award "Nika" in the nomination "For Contribution to Cinematographic Sciences, Criticism and Education". The solemn ceremony of awarding will be held on April 1 in Moscow

"Nika" is the main cinema award of Russia, established in 1987 by the Secretariat of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. The president of the award from 2013 is the director Andrei S. Konchalovsky. Winners are determined by secret ballot of members of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts.

In different years, the laureates of the award "Nika" became masters of the national cinema, recognized film masterpieces and cultural figures. Each time, the awarding ceremony attracts attention of film fans and professionals of the film industry.

The St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television is the oldest cinema university of the country. Today it prepares the entire spectrum of specialists for the needs of film production, television and mass media.

The 31st award ceremony of the national cinema award "Nika" will be held in Moscow on April 1.
